FAQ
What is the best image format for websites?
WebP is a strong default: it is smaller than JPG and PNG and supported by all modern browsers. AVIF can be smaller still. Keep JPG or PNG as fallbacks if you need older software.
When should I use PNG?
Use PNG for logos, screenshots and graphics with sharp edges or transparency, where lossless quality matters.
Is HEIC better than JPG?
HEIC is more efficient, so files are smaller at similar quality, but support outside Apple devices is limited. Convert to JPG when you need to share widely.
